Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has said the club and fans need to stay calm with midfielder Dele Alli, after the youngster picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against West Ham on Sunday (22 November).
In a small skirmish with West Hams Mark Noble, he allowed the referee to get his cards out, meaning that Alli will miss the important London derby against Chelsea next week.
He is young, he has played 10 or 12 games, said Pochettino. He is just 19 years old, he is just starting for England. We need to stay calm with him.
He has a strong character, his fight is there, but he needs to be calm and that is an example. He needs to improve but he is getting the experience. Next time he will learn from it, added Pochettino.
