The eighth edition of IPL has been one of the most closely fought in recent years with teams still vying it out for the top slots. Royal Challengers Bangalore have a chance to finish the round robin stage in the second position, but have to defeat Delhi Daredevils, which stand as a hurdle.
RCB will face DD in a crucial encounter at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Super Sunday.
Though, the DD are out of the competition, they have been better than last season as far as their performance is concerned. They will be eager to finish IPL 2015 on a high, defeating RCB and spoiling their party.
But, with players such as AB de Villiers looking in great form, it might prove to be a daunting task.
Here is a look at some players, who will have to be on top of their game in the fixture:
Royal Challengers Bangalore
AB de Villiers: Though the South African might have been dismissed for a duck in RCB's last fixture, the batsman is one of the most in-form IPL batsmen. De Villiers has amassed 446 runs at an amazing strike rate of 176. What makes the batsmen even more special is his all-round playing ability, so he is one of the most difficult batsmen to bowl in world cricket. He has struck 18 sixes and 56 fours in the tournament.
Mitchell Starc: The Australian bowler may not be the Purple Cap holder in IPL 2015, but his performance with the white ball has been outstanding. He has taken 18 wickets so far, but he has played only 10 matches in the competition. With a strike rate of 10.33, Starc has been outstanding and has taken wickets with the new ball consistently.
Delhi Daredevils
JP Duminy: The South African has been the stand-out performer for DD and has led the team from the front on a number of occasions. He has scored 347 runs in the competition and more often or not, he has played as per the situation. Taking the attack to the opposition, Duminy has scored runs at a quick pace. Well, it is not only his batting that has stood out, but also his more than part time off-breaks helped him scalp eight crucial wickets in the competition.
Yuvraj Singh: The Indian batsman has not lived up to the most expensive player tag in 2015 auction, as he has only scored 237 runs, which is below par. With just a game in hand, Yuvraj Singh can still turn on the game for DD and prove that he is still one of the most dangerous batsmen in world cricket. He could prove to be the difference between RCB and DD, if he clicks in DD's last IPL game of the season.
