Yash's much-awaited Kannada movie "Masterpiece" was released on Thursday, 24 October and opened to mixed reviews. The Manju Mandavya directorial film is high on commercial elements but the narration goes off track at parts, making it as an average entertainer.

Shanvi Srivastava has played the female lead in "Masterpiece" with Suhasini Maniratnam playing the role of Yash's mother in the film. Chikkana will be playing the role of a comedian and steals the show in the first half. Leading music composer V Harikrishna has composed the music, PV Shankar has handled the camera and KM Prakash is the editor of the flick.
The Kannada movie generated a lot of hype through the trailer and the audio. Hence, there were good expectations on the movie. "Masterpiece" has been highly promoted by the makers of the film. Starting from the first look release to the latest release promotions, the team has taken special interest to market the movie to ensure that the film reaches all sections of the audience.
Story
The story begins with Durga, played by Suhasini Maniratnam, opening up on a television channel about her son Yuva (Yash). We are told about his childhood, his role in local elections and the way that he choose to ensure the victory of Noor Ahmed (Achyuth Kumar).
Yuva falls in love with a beautiful girl played by Shanvi. The story takes a twist when his people goes missing. In the meantime, the hero gets trapped in a drug case. What happens next should be enjoyed on-screen.
Reviews:
