One thing is certain, the upcoming Mass Effect tentatively named Mass Effect 4 will be 'massive' in both single player mode and online mode. This was clarified by the developer BioWare in a tweet.
Chris Wynn, senior development director of Mass Effect had hinted on the game's multiplayer mode saying the company was looking out for an online producer. This left many fans disappointed as they did not want to have the multiplayer in the game.
Hence Wynn again took to Twitter to clear any doubts players had. He told the dissenting fans that many people like the online mode. One patron humorously asked Wynn to make a promise to take care of the game and he hilariously added that he would "pinky swear" on that.
"If anyone is concerned that online will take away from single player, I assure you that SP will be MASSIVE in the next Mass Effect," Wynn assured fans in a Twitter post.
Previous leaks had pointed out that the game is in development and players will be thrilled to find the game massive in size and scale. It was revealed there were nearly 200 developers working on the game.
Recently, Jay Watamaniuk, a writer at Bioware revealed in a tweet that he attended a meeting that featured many "#space stuff" and it all looked "remarkable." This also points at the game's development. Michael Gamble, producer, posted a tweet saying, "Amazing @bioware studio meeting today. Lots of wonderful Dragon Age and Mass Effect content. I'm so proud to be part of this."
Though BioWare has not revealed any details on the game's release date, it is expected to roll out in 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It could be showcased at the E3 2015 annual gaming event in June.
