Malayalam actor Dileep is all set for another mass film.
This time, the actor will be seen in the remake of 2010 Telugu blockbuster film "Maryada Ramanna", which was directed by S. S. Rajamouli, who is known for his films like "Eega", "Magadheera", "Vikramarkudu", "Chathrapathi", "Simhadri" and "Student No:1".
The Malayalam version titled as "Maryadharaman" will be directed by debutant Suresh Diwakar.
Scripted by the hit pair Uday Krishna and Siby K Thomas, "Maryadharaman" will be their 20th film with Dileep after 2013 flick "Sringaravelan". The trio has worked together in films like "Kammath & Kammath", "Mr. Marumakan", "Mayamohini", "Kaaryasthan", "Mayamohini" and "Kochi Rajavu" among others.
The latest reports say that the film's shooting will begin on 10 September.
Dileep had reportedly signed this project in 2012, but it's shooting got delayed as the actor was busy with his other commitments.
Telugu version "Maryada Ramanna" was a comedy thriller starring Sunil and Saloni Aswani in the lead and was a remake of the 1923 Buster Keaton film "Our Hospitality".
The film was later remade in Kannada as "Maryade Ramanna" starring Komal Kumar and Nisha Shah, in Bengali as "Faande Poriya Boga Kaande Re" starring Soham Chakraborthy and Srabhanti Chatterjee, in Tamil as "Vallavanukku Pullum Ayudham" starring Santhanam and Ashna Zaveri and in Hindi as "Son of Sardaar" starring Ajay Devgan and Sonakshi Sinha.
"Maryadharaman", touted as a comedy entertainer, will be shot completely in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu in a huge set worth ₹1 crore. It will also have ₹75 lakh worth graphic works.
The film is expected to be one of the high budget films ever made in Malayalam as the total budget is expected to be over ₹9 crore. The film will be produced by Anto Joseph under the banner of Ann Megha Media.
Anto had earlier produced big budget films like "Kammath & Kammath" and "King and Commisioner". The former was apparently produced with a whopping budget of ₹10 crore, and the latter was also said to be produced with a budget of ₹9 crore.
The music for this upcoming entertainer will be done by Gopi Sundar and the film is expected as a Christmas release.
