The trailer of Priyanka Chopra's much awaited biopic "Mary Kom" is finally out.
In the promo, the former Miss World is seen fighting all odds, from rebelling against her father and the society to gender stereotype in order to pursue her sport. But it is her husband who encourages her to follow her dream and make history.
Directed by Omung Kumar, "Mary Kom" is based on the life and success of five-time world champion and Olympic medal-winning boxer, Mary Kom.
Going by the two-minute trailer, Chopra seems to have completely justified the intense character and has played in and out as a champion boxer, delivering some powerful punches as she steps into the ring. She even flaunts a bald look in one of the scenes.
Chopra has completely transformed herself from a glamorous actress to hooking some cut muscle thus making her look every bit like the real-world boxing champion. The "Gunday" actor's hard work with the muscles and her accent shows off in the promo.
Chopra, who had recently released the first poster of "Mary Kom" and later the teaser on the day of her 32nd birthday, has now made her fans eagerly wait for the movie after the release of the promo. The posters has already created waves among her fans, who have had appreciated Chopra for the hardwork and dedication on Twitter.
In order to get the perfect North-Eastern look in the film, the "Barfi" actress has worn prosthetic eyelids. Chopra has been quite excited about her movie and described it as the toughest role in her career. She even visited Kom's native land in Manipur in order to learn more about the champion's life and her accent.
"Mary Kom" produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Viacom 18, is set to hit screens on 5 September.
