Season 4 of ABC's superhero series "Agents of SHIELD" is all set to premiere its fourth season soon. Several rumours have been surfacing on the internet regarding the plot of the series, with a recent one claiming that a battle might be fought between the Inhumans and X-Men.
According to the official website of Marvel, the X-Men and Inhumans might clash with each other in the upcoming season. In "SHIELD," the Inhumans started to emerge after the Terrigen mist engulfed the city.
In the four-issue comic book series "The Death of X," the mist acts as a lethal threat to the X-Men as it incapacitates or kills the mutants. In the story, the Inhumans go to Japan where the mist has given birth to an unexpected and shocking Inhuman.
Afterwards, the X-Men move to Muir Island to try a way out of the problem. Cyclops urges everyone to act immediately to stop the extinction of the mutants from the planet.
Though it is unlikely to see both Inhumans and X-Men together in the live action series, "The Death of X" might inspire the producers and creators of the show to initiate the project.
Currently, 20th Century Fox has got the rights to X-Men while Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) owns Inumans. So it may not be easy to get both the franchises together.
However, Sony had agreed to share the rights of Spider-Man with MCU that came as an unexpected move from the studio. Hence, there is a significant possibility that fans might get to see two of their most favourite franchises coming together in Season 4 of "Agents of SHIELD."
"Game n Guide" has reported that the fourth season of "Agents of SHIELD" is scheduled to be released on Sept. 20, 2016. More details regarding Marvel's "Agents of SHIELD" Season 4 will soon be provided by the network.
