Marvel's "Agents of SHIELD" Season 3 is on a mid season break and won't return before March 2016, when Episode 11 will air. However, the upcoming episode might introduce a new villain renowned among Marvel fans and a major antagonist in the "Fantastic Four" comic books.
Though there is no such confirmation from the show's creators, there is a slight possibility that Doctor Victor Von Doom, better known as Doctor Doom, will make his debut in Episode 11.
Even though the rights to Doctor Doom are currently reserved with Fox, it may return to Marvel after the disastrous results of the "Fantastic Four" reboot as Marvel Studios has a knack to do justice to its characters on the big screen.
Sony has already agreed to return Spider-Man back to Marvel after which Spidey has become a proud member of Marvel Cinematic Universe, and if Fox follows suit with Doom, it would surely lead to positive outcomes.
Given that "SHIELD" can manage to elaborate on a character's biography vividly due to its series format, it would be a good idea to have Doom in it so the iconic villain's history and origins can be explored properly.
Doom is undoubtedly one of the most feared opponents in the Marvel Universe, who terrorises not just the Fantastic Four but has been a cause of panic for others like Spider-Man and the Avengers.
It would be a spectacular experience to witness Doom battling Agents of SHIELD, and especially Coulson. Given that Doom has a history with SHIELD and Nick Fury in a number of comic stories, he would definitely fit in the show.
Doom is a possessor of genius-level intellect, amazing mechanical and scientific knowledge and even some mystical and supernatural powers — the perfect combination for the villain SHIELD needs.
The possibility sounds too far-fetched for now, but with Marvel, unexpected is never impossible, and the agents might face Doom in one of the future episodes.
