As the next movie in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), "Captain America: Civil War," is all geared up to hit the big screens from April 12, Marvel Comics has revealed several images from its upcoming comic series "Civil War II," and the latest teaser features Spider-Man in a not-so-friendly look.
The famous wall-crawler will join the other Marvel superheroes in the upcoming MCU movie, as can be seen in the latest trailer. However, it seems he is also going to return in another instalment of the "Civil War" storyline in the comic books.
As reported by Screen Rant, the latest "Civil War II" poster has a picture of a mean-looking Spidey along with the lines "Protect the Future. Change the Future" and "Choose your side."
According to Parent Herald, the synopsis of "Civil War II" reads:
"A mysterious new Marvel character comes to the attention of the world, one who has the power to calculate the outcome of future events with a high degree of accuracy. This predictive power divides the Marvel heroes on how best to capitalise on this aggregated information, with Captain Marvel leading the charge to profile future crimes and attacks before they occur, and Iron Man adopting the position that the punishment cannot come before the crime."
It is noteworthy that the web-slinger played a significant role in the "Civil War" storyline as he was one of the prominent members of Team Iron Man. Spider-Man donned the iconic Iron Spider armour in the comic book series.
Though not much has been revealed of his role in the upcoming "Civil War II" series, there is a significant chance Spider-Man will again ally with Iron Man and his team and will fight Team Captain America.
Spider-Man is also about to make his first MCU debut with "Captain America: Civil War," and it seems all the hype among Marvel fans eagerly waiting to see Spidey join the other Avengers on the big screen is going to benefit the "Civil War II" comic book series as well.
