As we inch closer to the rumoured launch of Maruti YBA SUV in India, here comes yet another set of spy shots of the model, giving us a fairly clear picture of what to expect from the model.
Maruti Suzuki has been testing its YBA SUV on Indian roads for quite sometime now and now, the latest spy shots come from the folks at Indian hoods who spotted the test mule in Rajasthan while it was resting at a parking lot. Like before, in the latest spy shots, the test mule of YBA was seen covered in thick black camouflage, however, the pictures reveal the car from virtually every possible angle.
From a visual stand point, Maruti YBA SUV looks interesting with the flat bonnet and larger and bold front fascia. The Maruti's upcoming SUV, which also follows simple formula in terms of design gets big front grille, projector headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights.
Inside the cabin, the cabin has got all black dashboards with piano black insert around the central air-conditioner vents and centre console. The cabin, which seems to have got a fresh design shows a multi-function steering wheel, touchscreen SmartPlay system, fabric seats and automatic climate control system.
Under the skin, YBA SUV is expected to carry 1.2-litre K-Series engine and 1.3 litre Fiat sourced diesel engine. The YBA SUV is speculated to come paired to 5-speed manual transmissions and could also get Maruti's latest SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle System) technology.
Likely to cost between Rs 5.5 lakh and Rs 8.2 lakh, Maruti's sub-4m YBA will rival Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300 in India. Rumours are rife that YBA will make its India debut at the 2016 Auto Expo, which is scheduled to happen in February.
