Maruti Suzuki - the country's largest car maker - is reportedly working on the RS variant of its newly-launched sedan, Ciaz, silently. Indian auto lovers must have heard about Ciaz's RS variant, but the company has remained decisively tight-lipped about this version.
Now, the folks at Gaadiwaadi have managed to capture a new Ciaz variant, which is being touted as the RS variant of the model. Since Ciaz is already in our market, there is not much to talk about the design and style of the new variant, except the accessory kit. It is not sure whether Maruti is planning to launch the Ciaz RS variant as a separate version or just as the optional RS kit. The company is likely to roll out Ciaz RS soon in the Indian market, which is currently gearing up to welcome the facelifted avatar of Hyundai Verna in the next couple of days.
Recently, Maruti added a Ciaz variant, dubbed Ciaz Z+, in the domestic market. It is now the top-end variant of the sedan and is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. Mechanically, the new variant of Ciaz remains unchanged and packs the same 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines, but gets additional features like SmartPlay infotainment system with navigation and voice command, leather wrapped steering and seats and 16-inch alloy wheels.
The petrol ZXi+ has been priced at ₹9.08 lakh, and the diesel version of the new Ciaz trim is priced at ₹10.37 lakh.
