India's largest passenger car maker Maruti Suzuki's much-anticipated Wagon R Stingray is seemingly set to hit the roads in coming weeks as the dealerships across the country have started receiving Wagon R Stingray demo cars.
Automobile portalMotorBeam has got a sneak peak of the demo car of Maurti's upcoming Wagon R with Experience Stingray logo on it, sparking off speculations that the car will see imminent launch in the country. The car, which has been spied testing in India over the past couple of months, is expected to make its debut with stylish and dynamic features.
Although the cost of the car is yet to be revealed for the public, reports suggested that the customers expect to shell out extra ₹50,000 than the current Wagon R model. Precisely, the soon-to-be-launched Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Stingray would fall in the price range between ₹4 lakh to ₹5 lakh.
According to latest reports, the car will come in three variants which include LXi, VXi and VXi option pack. Under the hood, the car will pack the same 1.0l K-Series petrol engine which churns out a power of 68 PS and 90 Nm torque and comes paired with the five-speed manual transmission.
Motorbeam reported that the new vehicle will pack a different grille and bumpers. The option pack of the Maruti Wagon R Stingray is expected to come with two front airbags, ABS, steering mounted audio controls, projector headlights and electrically adjustable rear view mirror.
It is also speculated that Wagon R Stingray would be launched on 20 August.
