Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is inching closer to its launch in the country. The compact SUV, which made its first public appearance at the Auto Expo in Delhi in February, is set to make its market entry on March 8.
Preparations are well underway ahead of its launch in the second week of March and the company has already started dispatching the models to its respective dealerships across the country. Now ahead of its official reveal, the Vitara Brezza has once again made its appearance on the web, this time through new set spyshots of the model. Caught on camera by OverDrive on the DND flyway in New Delhi, the fresh batch images of the Vitara Brezza show the model in its completely revealed form.
Expected to be offered in six variants — LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi, and ZDi+, the Vitara Brezza measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width, 1,640 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,500 mm.
Powering the compact SUV is a diesel 200 DDis engine, which can churn out 88.5bhp of power @4,000 rpm and 200Nm of peak torque at 1750 rpm, with a five-speed manual gearbox. Maruti is expected to include a petrol engine under the hood of the Vitara Brezza later along with automated manual transmission (AMT).
Compact SUV Maruti Vitara Brezza, which has been conceived, designed, developed and validated in India by Maruti's R&D team led by Chief Engineer CV Raman, is already open for bookings in the country. The compact SUV, which will be sold through the regular dealers of the company, will be pitted against Mahindra TUV 300 and Ford EcoSport in India.
Rumour has it that the Vitara Brezza will carry a price tag in the range of Rs 5.5 to 8.2 lakh.
