Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza revised prices revealed; check out new price list

Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car-maker, has announced a price hike across its range of vehicles. The price increase, which is effective from August 1, is also applicable to the company's new offerings, including the Vitara Brezza compact SUV and Baleno premium hatchback.

While the price of the Baleno and the Vitara Brezza has been increased by up to Rs. 10000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively, the quantum of hike for other models ranges from Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 15,000.

The Vitara Brezza, the first model of Maruti Suzuki to be conceptualised, designed, developed and validated in India, became a success in the country within a few months of its launch. The compact SUV has garnered over 95,000 bookings and currently commands a waiting period of up to eight months. Riding on the newly launched compact SUV, Maruti Suzuki surpassed the sales of utility vehicle manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra in July.

Powered by a 200 DDis 1248cc diesel engine that develops 88.5bhp at 4,000rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1,750rpm mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, the Vitara Brezza boasts best-in-class fuel efficiency of 24.3 kmpl.

The SUV was launched at a starting price of Rs. 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and with the price increase it has gone to Rs. 7.19 lakh now. The Vitara Brezza is available in LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi, ZDi+ and ZDi+ dual tone trims with six colour combinations.
