Maruti Suzuki's upcoming compact SUV Vitara Brezza has been subjected to rumours and several spy shots until now. Just a few days after the company announced the arrival of the model at the Auto Expo 2016, a new set of images have emerged online, this time giving an insight into the variant details of the new model.
According to a leaked document of Vitara Brezza shared by OverDrive, the compact SUV will be offered in six trims -- LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi and ZDi+ -- and all the variants of the model will come equipped with drive side airbag.
Expected to hit the market within a month of its debut at the Auto Expo, the top-end variant of Maruti Vitara Brezza will house features like Smartplay infotainment system, in-built navigation, reverse parking camera, keyless entry, auto headlight, cruise control, cooled glovebox, rain sensing wipers, electric ORVMs with integrated turn indicators and front seat belt height adjuster. The SUV will also get features like ABS with EBD, 60:40 split rear seats, rear centre armrest with cup holder, passenger airbag and alloy wheels.
The Vitara Brezza, the first vehicle to be conceived, designed, developed and validated in India by Maruti R&D team led by Chief Engineer CV Raman, is expected to pack only diesel engine under the hood initially.
It has been reported that for now the new Vitara Brezza in India is likely to be powered by the tried and tested Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre DDiS diesel unit which also does duty in Swift and Dzire.
Expected to be priced between Rs 5.5 lakh and Rs 8.2 lakh, Vitara Brezza will be sold through the regular dealers of Maruti.
