Maruti Suzuki's new offering in the compact SUV segment, the Vitara Brezza, has garnered over 25,000 bookings within two weeks of its launch, reports Rushlane. Vitara Brezza, which made its entry into the burgeoning compact SUV segment March 8, is the first model from the country's largest car-maker to be conceptualised, designed, developed and validated in India.
The company has commenced the delivery of the model March 25 and is expected to keep the waiting period at minimal. Maruti had earlier said the company has no plans to export the new Vitara Brezza offering as of now as it wishes to focus on the domestic demand. With this product, Maruti hopes to become the top seller in the compact SUV segment.
Powered by a 200 DDis 1248cc diesel engine that develops 88.5bhp at 4,000rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1,750rpm, teamed with a five-speed manual gearbox, the Vitara Brezza has been priced starting at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Offered in LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi, ZDi+ and ZDi+ dual tone trims with six colour options, the Vitara Brezza promises to deliver a mileage of 24.3 kmpl.
The car houses electrically-foldable ORVMs with integrated turn-indicators, a reverse parking camera, Smartplay infotainment system, cooled glove box, cruise control, projector headlamps and in-built navigation.
