Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, the first compact SUV from the country's largest car-maker, is all set to hit the Indian roads Friday, March 25. The compact SUV conceived, designed and developed in India by Maruti's R&D team led by Chief Engineer CV Raman has been witnessing unprecedented demand in the market, with over 20,000 bookings within just two weeks of its launch, and still counting.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza comes with a 200 DDis 1248cc diesel engine that develops 88.5bhp at 4,000rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1,750rpm, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. It houses features like electrically-foldable outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs) with integrated turn-indicators, a reverse-parking camera, a Smartplay infotainment system, a cooled glove box, cruise control, projector headlamps and in-built navigation.
Maruti Suzuki is also offering over 35 accessories for the Vitara Brezza. According to Autocar India, Vitara Brezza customers can choose from accessories like a Mudflap set, ORVM indicator lamps, luggage room accessories socket, wheel arch cladding, front grille garnish, illuminated door sill guard and more.
While the Glamour kit, which includes rear-seat entertainment with DVD, PVC designer mats, body graphics, door visor with chrome insert, fog lamp garnish, ORVM garnish, steering cover, neck pillow, cushion set and door sill guard costs Rs 23,490, the Sports kit is priced at Rs 29,999. The accessory list of the Vitara Brezza also includes machined alloy wheels at Rs 23,960, illuminated door sill guard at Rs 890, fog lamp garnish at Rs 840 and door visor with chrome at Rs 2,990.
Offered in LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi, ZDi+ and ZDi+ dual tone trims with six colour options, the Vitara Brezza has been priced in the range of Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 9.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
