Maruti Suzuki India Limited, India's leading passenger vehicle manufacturer, launched the sporty Swift Deca, on Tuesday. The limited edition model is available in two variants — Vxi (Rs. 5,94,445) and Vdi (Rs. 6,86,983, ex-showroom Delhi) — in two colour options, Bright red and Pearl white.
Swift Deca limited edition model is a tribute to a symbol of glory in sports — the number "10". The number is special in various sports, as many great players have carried number 10 on their jerseys.
The Deca edition is packed with Sony multimedia touch screen music system with Bluetooth and external mic, Sony 6-inch speakers on the doors, sports-inspired seat covers and steering wheel cover, reverse parking assist system with camera, front arm rest, door sill guard, ambient light and special floor mats. On the exterior, it comes with graphics details, and an exterior styling kit that includes side skirts and spoiler.
"Swift is a sporty, stylish and fun to drive car. Since its launch, it has been one of the best performers in our portfolio and helped us strengthen leadership in premium hatchback segment," RS Kalsi, Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki, said in a statement. "Over the years, the Swift has evolved in features, looks and technology, often defining the changes in aspiration and preferences of Indian car customers. Swift Deca carries forward the sportiness and performance quotient associated with the brand."
The Deca edition also comes at a time when Swift has just completed 10 years of sales in India. Maruti Suzuki launched Swift in 2005 while its facelift version made a debut in 2011.
