Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest carmaker has opened its 175th Nexa showroom at Electronic City in Bengaluru. The new Nexa showroom is the sixth in Bengaluru.
Nexa, the new destination for Maruti's premium cars, was introduced in July last year with the launch of S-Cross. The crossover was later joined by Baleno hatchback and Nexa currently contributes to about eight per cent of the total sales of Maruti.
The 175th dealership of Nexa by Surakshaa Car Care is spread over 6,000 sqft and is designed in black-and-white monochrome colour scheme to highlight the products on display at Nexa. Currently, Nexa is expected to contribute 15 per cent of Maruti's total sales volume by 2020.
"Through Nexa, we want to meet the diverse expectations of our customers. Customer feedback and surveys show us that there is a growing segment of car buying Indians who value personal care and attention in their car buying and ownership experience," said R S Kalsi, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales),Maruti Suzuki India Limited.
"Nexa is designed for this segment of customers. It brings together people, technology, showroom ambience and processes to deliver the desired experience to this segment of customers," he added.
Maruti plans to expand the number of Nexa outlets to 250 by next year. The Nexa floor is also expected to welcome two models - Baleno RS and Ignis - in coming months. While Baleno RS is the Boosterjet engine variant of the premium hatchback Baleno, Igins will be a small crossover.
