Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, which is Suzuki SX4 S-Cross in the European market, is all set to get a facelift, and a couple of leaked images have already been floating around the internet. The car was first unveiled in the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, and three years down the line, the facelift is also expected to debut at the same show this year in March, AutoBild reported.
The leaked images show the new S-Cross with a fresh face, featuring restyled front bumper with larger radiator grille. The grille now houses vertical chrome slats which are flanked by new design projector headlamps. The side profile of the model in question includes plastic cladding on the lower part of the body extending on to the wheel arches of the car. The interior will be updated with new seat upholstery with contrast stitching, and updated instruments cluster. There are also new colour schemes for the interior.
Information on the powertrains is under the wraps now. Reports indicate a new 1.4-litre Boosterjet engine could make it to the new model. The current Suzuki SX4 S-Cross is powered by 1.6-litre DDiS diesel and 1.6-litre petrol mills.
The S-Cross has been developed for the European market initially. However, swift demand for the crossover models in India led Maruti Suzuki to bring the car in 2015. The S-Cross is being sold via premium Nexa showrooms and locks horn against the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and Mahindra XUV500 in India.
