Some dealers of Maruti Suzuki have reportedly started accepting bookings for the upcoming crossover S-Cross in India against a down payment of ₹20,000-₹30,000.
A recent report of Indian Autos Blog revealed that the unofficial pre-launch bookings of Maruti S-Cross are underway at some dealers of the company. Maruti S-Cross, the crossover from the house of India's largest car maker, is expected to hit the showrooms in July.
A lot has been written about Maruti's new crossover and for the Indian auto lovers have already seen the model through countless leaks and spy shots. Now, for the uninitiated, Maruti S-Cross is likely to include 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre diesel engines in its engine line-up. The 1.6-litre diesel engine will have the capacity to churn out a power of 118bhp with a peak torque of 32kgm and the transmission is likely to come from a six-speed manual gearbox. There have also been rumours about the automatic variants of the model.
As for features, S-Cross is likely to include dual zone climate control feature of the model, which is a first in its segment, touchscreen SmartPlay infotainment system, rear AC vents, dual front airbags and ABS with EBD.
Expected to be priced around ₹8 lakh, Maruti S-Cross will be challenging the dominance of Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport in India.
