India's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to enter into a new segment with the launch of its crossover S-Cross. The launch of Maruti S-Cross is just around the corner and expectations are also high.
As Maruti prepares to roll out its crossover, which is based on SX4 S-Cross, here we round up the key features and specifications you need to know about S-Cross:
Maruti S-Cross Launch and Price expectations
Maruti S-Cross is expected to hit the market by the end of July or in the first week of August. The model, when launched, will mainly rival against Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport; and from the word around the internet, S-Cross would be priced around ₹8 lakh. The bookings for S-cross are underway.
Maruti S-Cross Dimensions and Engine Specifications
In terms of dimensions, Maruti S-Cross measures 4,300 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width, and 1,590 mm in height. The S-Cross has a ground clearance of 180 mm and comes seated on a wheelbase of 2,600 mm.
Under the hood, the S-Cross will come plonked with 200 DDiS 1.3-litre diesel motor, which can churn out 89bhp of power and 200Nm of torque and 320 DDiS 1.6-litre diesel that is tuned to pump out 118bhp and 320Nm of torque; 5-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed manual gearbox will do the transmission duties.
S-Cross Variants and feature details
There will be eight trims on offer: 1.3L Sigma, 1.3L Sigma (O), 1.3L Delta, 1.3L Zeta, 1.3L Alpha, 1.6L Delta, 1.6L Zeta and 1.6L Alpha, and five colour choices: Urban Blue, Caffeine Brown, Granite Grey, Premium Sliver and Pear Arctic white.
The features list includes driver airbag, keyless entry, electrically adjustable ORVMs, tilt-adjustable steering, reverse parking sensor, smartplay infotainment system, rear centre armrest, LED positioning lamps and leather seat upholstery.
