It's finally here! The Swift special edition that we first saw at the Windsong Music Festival in Lonavala has now been officially launched in India.
Dubbed as "Swift Windsong", the latest limited edition offering from Maruti Suzuki will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options. Swift Windsong, the latest addition to Maruti's popular Swift range, wears a sporty look both inside and outside. The new Swift comes in a Pearl white colour that has contrast black stripes on the front grille and music-inspired decals on the sides. It also has stylish wheel cover pattern and front and rear mud flaps, Arctic White rear upper spoiler.
Inside the cabin, the most notable feature of Swift Windsong is its Sony touchscreen music system that has Bluetooth, CD, DVD and USB functions, and there is also integrated reversing camera. Other features include a new dual-toned upholstery (black and yellow), new steering wheel cover, ambient lighting, illuminated sill guards and Swift badged floor mats.
Under the hood, the Swift facelift special edition gets the same 1.3 litre multijet engine and 1.2 - litre K-Series petrol engine. The engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and tuned to offer a fuel efficiency of 25.2kmpl for diesel and 20.4 kmpl for petrol.
The petrol version of the Swift Windsong edition VXi is priced attractively at Rs 5.14 lakh, while the diesel VDi version comes for Rs 6.1 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Company will be producing only a limited number of Swift Windsong cars. The new edition is already available for booking in India.
