It appears like there is no end to the spy shots of upcoming mini-crossover Ignis from the house of Maruti Suzuki. On Wednesday, images of the model's interiors were doing the rounds on the internet. Now, the images of Ignis in its production guise are making headlines.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis to be launched in Q4
Ignis is one of the highly-anticipated and desired models of 2016. The crossover has been getting lot of attention since its India debut at the Auto Expo 2016 in February and has already made numerous appearances online through spy shots and leaked images. Although the company is yet to confirm the launch date of the model in India, rumour has it that the mini-crossover will go on sales in October.
The latest set of images comes from Zigwheels. In the latest images, Ignis is seen hiding under thick back camouflage. The test mule is believed to be wearing its production-ready parts. Judging by the images, Maruti Suzuki Ignis looks identical to its concept, which was shown at the auto show. Ignis is seen with features such as door-mounted mirrors and black alloys, and is expected to get projector headlamps and LED tail lamps.
Coming to the interior of Ignis, it is expected to get high-end Harman Kardon audio system and safety features such as ABS with EBD, airbags and hill descent control. If this rings true, Ignis will be the first Maruti Suzuki car in India to feature Harmon Cardon audio system.
Under the bonnet, the crossover has been rumoured to come with a 1.2-litre VTVT petrol engine and a 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel unit. Maruti Suzuki is also expected to power Ignis with the 1.0 BoosterJet turbo-petrol engine. Maruti's upcoming crossover could also be available with Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) avatar.
