Marutis' new sedan Ciaz is not old in the Indian market and it has been earning tremendous response from the auto enthusiasts since its launch in the country. Now a new prototype of Maruti Ciaz has been spied, this time seen donned in a new shade, which is not there in the current Ciaz's palette.
The latest image comes from the folks at GaadiWaadi. From the images, the conspicuous factor is its new body colour - Blue.
Apart from this, all others including the shape, body kit and styling remain unchanged. It is also difficult to understand why this shade was not in the colour range of Ciaz when it was launched. But it is speculated that the prototype seen here could be the upcoming variant, Ciaz Z+.
Ciaz Z+ is expected to reach Indian market early next year. The car will become the top-end trim of Maruti Ciaz at a premium of ₹30,000 over the Z(O) variant.
The Ciaz Z+ will accommodate all the features of the Z(O) trim and in addition to this, the model will come fitted with a touch-screen infotainment system. And now with the latest images, it is also possible that the variant could get a new colour option.
Launched on 6 October, Maruti Ciaz has been priced within the range of ₹6.99 lakh - ₹9.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is offered in both diesel and petrol engine options.
Under the hood, the new Ciaz packs 1.3 litre Multijet diesel or 1.4 litre K Series petrol engine. Currently, Ciaz is available in a total of 10 trims - six petrol variants - V, V+, Z, Z(O), V+(AT) and Z AT and four diesel variants - V, V+, Z and Z(O).
