Maruti Suzuki's new premium hatchback Baleno, which is retailed through the company's new Nexa dealerships, has been getting good response in India since its entry into the market. Maruti has received over 21,000 bookings for Baleno and 56,000 footfalls at Nexa outlets.
According to Maruti Nexa dealers in Bengaluru, the new Baleno hatchback currently has a waiting period of up to four months in the city depending on the variant. However, dealers in Chennai inform us that buyers can get the new Maruti offering in two months.
Launched in October this year, Maruti Baleno, the second car to be sold through new the Nexa premium dealership chain, is being offered in four trims and seven body shades: Granite grey, Solid fire red, Premium urban blue, Autumn orange, Metallic premium silver, Pearl arctic white and Ray blue.
Under the hood, Maruti Baleno includes a 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine and a 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine. While the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine is tuned to develop 83bhp and 115Nm of torque, the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel mill churns out 74bhp and 190Nm of torque.
Maruti Baleno has been priced in the range of Rs 4.99-8.11 lakh (ex-showroom).
