The launch of the new premium hatchback Maruti Baleno is just a couple of weeks away in India. Maruti Baleno, the model from India's largest car maker carries high expectations.
Ahead of its expected launch in October, Maruti Baleno has been snapped once again, this time straight from a dealer yard, indicating that the car has started reaching the dealerships.
Snapped by a member of AutoMotiveIndia forum, in the latest spy shots, Maruti Baleno is seen donned in orange shade and the spy shots also give a closer look at the front, rear and side profiles of the model.
Maruti Baleno is the second car to be sold through the company's new destination for premium cars -- Nexa dealerships. The premium hatchback will be pitted against Honda new Jazz and Hyundai Elite i20 and is expected to carry a price tag of Rs 5.5 lakh onward.
In terms of dimensions, Maruti Baleno measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,500 mm in height and 1,745 mm in width. The premium hatchback has a ground clearance of 180 mm.
To be launched in four trims -- Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha -- under the hood, Maruti Baleno will come plonked with 1.2-liter VVT petrol and 1.3-liter DDiS diesel mills.
While the petrol variant of Baleno can churn out 83bhp at 6,000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, the diesel trim will be tuned to pump out 74bhp at 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. The transmission will be taken care of by a 5-Speed manual and a CVT.
The bookings of Maruti Baleno are open at some of the Nexa dealerships in the country against a down payment ranging from Rs 11,000 to Rs 25,000.
