Maruti Suzuki's upcoming premium hatchback Baleno could be launched anytime soon, as a Nexa dealer in Bengaluru has started previewing the hatchback popularly, known as YRA, on its website.
Bimal Nexa, Maruti Nexa dealer in Bengaluru, has listed the Baleno hatchback on its website with the 'coming soon' tag. The page has a display: "The premium hatchback is ready to hit the roads. This spacious and luxurious hatchback is powered with an unbeatable engine. Hold your breath and drive your dream car like never before."
The Maruti Baleo aka YRA is expected to break its cover in India in October. Although the launch details are yet to be revealed, rumours have it that the YRA will go on sale by October-end. With Maruti Nexa confirming the arrival of Baleno on the floors of new premium dealerships, the YRA hatchback will become the second car to be sold through the Nexa chain of dealers after the S-Cross crossover.
Expected to be priced in the range of Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 9 lakh, the Baleno will pack the company's newly-developed 1.0-litre Boosterjet direct injection turbocharged petrol engine and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel motors along with the SHVS mild-hybrid system debuted with Ciaz hybrid under the hood.
Maruti Baleno, which made its maiden appearance recently at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, measures 3,995mm in length, 1,745mm in width and 1,470mm in height. Once it hits the Indian roads, Baleno will face off against Hyundai Elite i20 and New Honda Jazz.
