Maruti Suzuki's premium hatchback Baleno continues to post overwhelming sales figures even after a year of launch. The hatchback sold via Nexa premium dealerships registered 11,093 units of sales and it is the fifth bestselling car of November 2016.
The sales of Baleno have increased from 9,074 units in November 2015. Last month, it also overtook Hyundai India's best seller the Grand i10 for the first time. With Baleno's elevation to the fifth spot, the top five bestselling car models of November are from Maruti Suzuki.
After months of decline in sales this year, bestselling car of India Maruti Suzuki Alto returned to positive sales in November 2016. The hatchback found 23,320 takers against the 21,995 units in November 2015. Maruti Suzuki Dzire, WagonR and the Swift are at the second, third and fourth places respectively. The company sold 17,218 Dzire units, 15,566 units of the WagonR and 14,594 units of the Swift.
Hyundai Grand i10 is the sixth best seller and it found 11,059 takers in November. The number has come down compared to the 12,899 units in the same month last year. Another Maruti Suzuki model the Celerio's sales stood at 9,543 units and it is seventh best selling model. Renault India's wonder kid the Kwid found 7,847 takers last month and sealed eighth spot.
Hyundai Elite i20 is one of the main losers in November. The Korean car-maker managed to sell only 7,601 units of the premium hatchback against 8,264 in the same period in 2015. Tata Motor's first hatchback bearing Impact design language is the new entrant in the list. The Tiago found 6,008 takers in November and sealed the last spot in the top 10 best selling cars list.
