A fresh batch of spy shots of 2016 Suzuki Baleno has emerged online ahead of the premium hatchback's debut at the Frankfurt Auto Expo, which is scheduled for 15 September.
Suzuki Baleno, the global premium hatchback model, is the first to be completely produced at Maruti Suzuki's Gurgaon plant. The car, which is popularly known by its codename YRA in India, has been spied undisguised by GaadiWaadi and they have also posted the spy shots online.
The latest images of the Baleno reveal the body colour options of the new hatchback and the car is likely to be offered in six body shades -- White, Silver, Black, Red, Blue and Sun light copper.
Suzuki has already confirmed that the company's newly-developed 1.0-litre Boosterjet direct injection turbocharged petrol engine will power its Baleno hatchback. The model is also likely to include 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre K-Series petrol engines and the familiar 1.3-litre DDiS 200 diesel engine.
In terms of dimensions, 2016 Suzuki Baleno measures 4,023mm in length, 1,920mm in width and 1,450mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,520 mm. In India, Baleno is likely to incorporate slight changes like revised front and rear bumper.
Baleno is expected to reach Indian shores in October this year, and the model will be sold through Maruti's new premium dealerships Nexa. Maruti Suzuki Baleno aka YRA will be pitched against Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and Fiat Punto Evo and is expected to be priced around Rs 7.5 to 9 lakh.
