2014 is a busy year for the country's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki. The company, which is waiting to present its new Ciaz sedan in the first week of October is now already out on the road with its next car - Alto K10 facelift.
The folks at GaadiWaadi have managed to capture the new mole of Maruti's best selling Alto K10, which is expected to make its entry into the domestic market in early 2015.
Based on the design of Alto 800, the new alto K10 facelift will be the second car from Maruti's stable to come with Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).
The new variant is likely to receive changes in both front and rear end profiles and is expected to launch in three trims - Lxi , Lxi+ & Vxi. Going by the words of the original publisher of the spy shots, the Lxi variant of the new model will be available with CNG and AMT options and the model will come fitted with an AC with heater and power steering. The Vxi, the top end variant of new Alto k10 facelift is likely to get body coloured ORVM's, wheel caps, door protection mouldings, central locking, front power windows and rear parcel tray.
Alto K10, which started its journey on Indian roads in 2010 celebrated its fourth anniversary in the country recently and the car is still popular among the Indian auto lovers.
Under the hood, the new Alto K10 is likely to pack 998cc three pot motor of the Celelrio, which can churn out 68 PS of max power and 90 Nm of torque.
Previous reports had suggested that the vehicle would feature larger and more stylish swept-back headlamps, new engine grille with chrome outline, reworked front bumper and the new rounded bonnet.
Maruti's Alto finds good business in export markets like Africa and South America as well and in India. Hyundai Eon and Datsun Go will be the main competitors of new Alto K10 facelift.
