Fresh image of Maruti's upcoming YBA compact SUV has surfaced online once again ahead of its potential launch in India in the first quarter of 2016.
The latest spy shot of Maruti YBA came from the folks at GaadiWaadi and here too, the SUV is seen heavily camouflaged, thus not giving away any clue of the design and styling elements of the vehicle.
The previous spy shots of YBA have shown us a design similar to the XA Alpha concept, which was seen at the Auto Expo in 2012. The SUV is also rumoured to take design cues from Suzuki iV-4 concept SUV. Apart from this, there is nothing much one can pull out from the spy shots.
As far as the engine line-up of the YBA is concerned, the petrol model of the upcoming SUV is likely to get power from the existing K12 and K14 engines, while the diesel version is rumoured to get 1.5-litre diesel engine, which is down-sized version 1.6 litre JTD motor.
In India, Maruti's YBA SUV will be competing against the likes of Ford's popular SUV EcoSport and from what we hear, the company is likely to price its new SUV at starting range of ₹5.5 lakh.
Maruti is also preparing a new premium hatchback to be pitched against Honda Jazz and Hyundai Elite i20 in India.
Codenamed YRA, the upcoming premium hatchback was caught on camera numerous times already and the car is likely to make its entry in 2015. Under the hood, the YRA hatchback is likely to get 1.2 litre petrol and 1.3 litre diesel engines.
