Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car-maker is on a launching spree in India. As the company prepares to launch its next AMT offering Alto K10, a new report has surfaced online, revealing the price details of the upcoming Alto model.
Scheduled to break its cover in India in November, Maruti's new Alto K10 facelift is the company's second AMT offering in the country after Celerio and the cheapest automatic car in India. Now ahead of its November launch, the folks at Rushlane have managed to get the on-road price details of the car; according to this the Alto K10 AMT will get a price tag of around Rs. 4.75 lakh in India when launched.
Expected to be offered in four trims -- LX, LXi, VXi and VXi (O), -- the new Alto K10 AMT will draw power from 1.0-litre three-cylinder K-Series engine, which can churn out a power of 68ps and a peak torque of 90nm .The engine will come with Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).
As for the features, expect the new Alto K10 AMT to get a re-worked front bumper, new engine grille and newly styled headlamps. The car will also include features like body-coloured ORVMs, wheel caps, door protection mouldings, central-locking, front power-windows and rear parcel-tray.
The bookings for Maruti Alto K10 AMT are underway in the country with a down payment of 10,000 and when launched, the car will rival Datsun Go and Hyundai Eon 1.0L.
Meanwhile, Maruti launched its new Swift facelift in India with a price tag of ₹4.42 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Swift facelift includes features like electrically Retractable and Adjustable ORVMs, 12 spoke alloy wheels, Reverse parking sensor's with display, new audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted call and audio controls, I-key entry and new fabric upholstery.
