Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car maker has finally pulled the wraps off its much anticipated Alto K10 AMT in India on Monday at a starting price of ₹3.06 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
Alto K10 facelift, the second AMT offering from Maruti's stable after Celerio is now also crowned as the most affordable automatic offering in India. Designed to challenge Hyundai Eon 1.0 and Datsun Go in the small car market, Maruti Alto K10 AMT wears a new look with changes both inside and outside.
From a visual standpoint, Alto K10 flaunts a new front grille with reworked headlamps and the car also gets new tail lamps and bumpers. Under the hood, Alto K10 facelift packs the same 1.0-liter three-cylinder K-Series engine, which is tuned to churn out 1.0-liter three-cylinder K-series engine with a better fuel efficiency. The new Alto model promises to deliver 24.07 kmpl fuel efficiency, which is almost 15% higher than the existing model.
Available in a total of six variants- LX, LXi, VXi, VXi (O), VXi (AMT) and LXi (CNG), the new Alto K10 measures 3545 mm in length, 1475 mm in height and 1490 in width. The car sits on a wheelbase of 2360 mm and has a ground clearance of 160 mm. The AMT is offered only on Vxi trim.
The new Alto comes donned in six body paints- Tango Orange, Cerulean Blue, Granite Grey, Fire Brick Red, Superior White and Silky Silver.
Speaking about the features, Alto K10 facelift comes fitted with a new music system with Aux-in and USB ports, internally adjustable ORVMs, front power windows, bottle holder, upper tray and dual cup holder. Inside the cabin, there is also a dual-tone dashboard and new upholstery.
