Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car maker is certainly the leader in the small car market and now it looks like the company has got it all right once again with its latest small car offering Alto K10 AMT.
Alto K10 AMT, the second AMT offering from Maruti after Celerio is also seemingly well-received in the market and the car currently enjoys a waiting period of up to two months. The latest news coming from the folks at CarDekho, claims to have gotten the information from the dealers of the company. Going by the report, while the wait for acquiring a Maruti Alto K10 AMT in Delhi is a couple of months, it is about a month in places like Jaipur. However, the report also notes that the models with a maul gearbox are available within a week.
The report also adds that Maruti's new Swift enjoys a waiting period of one month in Jaipur, whereas in Delhi the new Hatch is readily available. However, as the demand goes high, the waiting period of India's favourite Swift Hatch is also likely to go up.
Launched on 3 November, the Alto K10 facelift rivals Hyundai Eon 1.0 and Datsun Go in its segment. Offered in a total of six variants- LX, LXi, VXi, VXi (O), VXi (AMT) and LXi (CNG), the new Alto K10 facelift packs the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder K-Series engine, which is tuned to churn out 1.0-litre three-cylinder K-series engine.
As for the features, the Alto K10 new models comes fitted with music system with Aux-in and USB ports, internally adjustable ORVMs, front power windows, bottle holder, upper tray and dual cup holder. Inside the cabin, there is also a dual-tone dashboard and new upholstery. The car is priced in the range of ₹Rs 3.06 lakh to - ₹Rs 3.81 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
