The bookings for Maruti's upcoming Alto K10 AMT have reportedly commenced in India with a down payment of ₹10, 000, claims a new report.
It was just recently that Maruti confirmed the November launch of the new avatar of Alto K10 in the country.
Now the folks at RushLane claim that the dealers of Maruti across the country have started accepting the bookings for its upcoming Alto K10 with an advance payment of ₹10,000 and the first lot of hatchbacks have been dispatched from the company's Manesar plant to the dealers. Dealers of Maruti are likely get the new Alto K10 AMT in two weeks time, adds report. Apparently, the customers who booked Alt K10 is now changing their bookings to Alto K10 AMT.
Maruti, the trusted brand for small cars in India hopes to repeat the success of its Celerio with the new AMT Alto K10 model. Maruti Alto K10 AMT, the company's next big launch of this year will be the country's cheapest semi automatic car and company's the second AMT offering after Celerio.
Under the hood, the upcoming Alto k10 AMT will pack 1.0-litre three-cylinder K-Series engine, which can churn out a power of 68ps and a peak torque of 90nm.The car will come with Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) and we hear there will also be a 5-speed manual transmission.
The new AMT avatar of Alto K10 is expected to take design cues from its sibling Alto 800 and will be offered in four variants - LX, LXi, VXi and VXi (O).
From what we have heard so far, the new Alto K10 AMT will flaunt changes both inside and outside. As far as the styling is concerned, the Alto K10 AMT is expected to get a re-worked front bumper, new engine grille and newly styled headlamps.
Expect the car also to accommodate features like body-coloured ORVMs, wheel caps, door protection mouldings, central locking, front power-windows and rear parcel-tray.
The car will rival Hyundai Eon and Datsun Go in India and is likely to get price tag in the range of ₹3 lakh to ₹4.2 lakh.
