Maritime, Make in India, hospitality stalwarts honoured at Indywood Film Carnival: Check winners list

Organisations and personalities from fields like maritime, Make in India and hospitality were honoured at the third edition of Indywood Film Carnival held at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad between December 1 and 5.

Indywood Built In India Excellence Awards 2017 was organised to recognize and facilitate efforts made by organisations to boost the concept of 'Make in India' and make our country proud in the international front.

The award Presenters for the event were Nanda Narrainen, head of the Film Industry, Board of Investment, Mauritius; Sandhya Puttyah Jugnauth, Ministry of Arts and Culture, Mauritius; and Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qahtani, Senior Advisor, Saudi Aramco.

A panel discussion on "Encouraging Make in India in the Entertainment Industry" was also conducted during the ceremony. Panel members Rakesh Dash, Sohan Roy and Pratap Vallikadan discussed the opportunities and different ways entertainment industry can be a part of the "Make in India" culture. The session was moderated by Satyajeet Kumar Singh, Regional Sales Manager, Tibrewala Electronics.

Indywood Hospitality Excellence Awards 2017 was presented to renowned organisations in three different sectors — Hotels and Resorts, Travel & Tourism and Food/Service Management & Leisure. These awards were given away the awards by Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qahtani. Here is the winners' list:

A panel discussion on "Potential of film tourism in promoting Indian hospitality sector" was also conducted during the ceremony. Panelists Meenakshi Kumar Prabhakar, Shikhar Travels and Dimple Singh discussed how movies can act as a potential tool to attract visitors in a country. The session was moderated by Param Kannampilly.

Healthcare practitioners and organisations were honoured with awards by Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qahtani, Senior Advisor, Saudi Aramco. Here is the winners' list:

 A Panel Discussion on "The Role of Visual Media in Medical Industry" was also conducted during the ceremony. Panelists Sohan Roy, Dr AK Pillai and Dr Asma Khan discussed how visual media can support and transform the medical industry. The session was moderated by Padmabhushan Dr D Nageshwar Reddy, Chariman, Asia Institute of Gastroenterology.

Here are the winners of Indywood Maritime Excellence Awards 2017

Capt Jitendra Misra, Capt Chris Rodricks, Capt AR Sabnis, and Capt Satish C Sood were honoured with Lifetime Achievement awards. Excellence Awards in Entrepreneurship were bestowed Capt Rajesh Deshwal, SV Anchan, Vinay Gupta, PB Narayanan, MN Shah and TS Kaladharan.

Anil Radhakrishnan, Rajesh J Dhadwal, Rajneesh Rana, Dr Totakura Bangar Raju, Sunil Kumar Trehan, Capt Surinder Kumar Chugh, Sivaram Krishnan, Sanjay Kelkar, Satish Kumar, Vijay Nambiar, Sidharth Kulbhaskar and Dr Jayakumar were bestowed upon Indywood Maritime Excellence Awards.

A panel discussion on "How to integrate maritime industry with technology" was also conducted during the ceremony. The panel includes - discussed the ways and innovations which are being carried out in the maritime industry to bring it closer to the layman's world. The session was moderated by Dr Totakura Bangar Raju, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies.
