Nintendo 3DS owners are all set to get a new RPG Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, which will add its fifth title to Mario & Luigi series. Yesterday's Nintendo Direct announced the release date for Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam as 22 January, 2016.
Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam weaves together Mario, Luigi and Paper Mario into one single game. The game takes character style and elements from the Paper Mario series and the players will be able to control all the three characters in the game simultaneously.
The game will have Paper Mario, Princess Peach, Bowser and Toad from Paper Mario universe. Players will also be able to use the skills that Paper Mario possesses like slipping through cracks, making copies of himself and folding himself up.
Players will have to defeat the army of Bowser, solve puzzles and start quests in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam.
Mario-themed amiibo are compatible with Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. The amiibo will be helpful to players as it can also unlock in-game cards that can be used in the fight against the enemies.
Siliconera reported that the game will be getting a new gameplay element, which will allow them to use Battle Cards for fights against the enemies. Enemies will be affected by these cards.
Battle Card not only provides rewards, but can also better the status of the party member. The report noted that players are about to scan six amiibo, namely Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Toad, and Yoshi.
