In his Facebook post, Tapkir said that he was having a troubled life with his wife Priyanka for more than six months after he suffered losses with the film, Dhol Taashe Pathak. He stated that his father and sisters supported him when he faced a financial issue, but his wife harassed him.
He was also upset that his wife did not allow him to meet his kids and threw him out of his house. Tapkir also revealed that he tried to commit suicide on an earlier occasion too. He claimed that Priyanka's friends supported her and created a fight between them.
In his note, he said that he has two flats, which should go to his children only if they stay with his father. If they are not ready to stay with his father then the flats should be given to his sisters.
Riaz Daulatabad, the general manager of the luxury hotel where Tapkir was found dead, told The Times of India that he checked into the hotel on Saturday alone. He posted his message on Facebook following which one of his relatives arrived at the hotel and informed the police.
"We knocked on the door and rang the bell a few times but there was no response from inside. We used duplicate keys to open the room and found him lying on the floor," Daulatabad said.
