After getting inspired by the film "How Old Are You," Kerala State Government had made actress Manju Warrier the brand ambassador of Kudumbashree's Organic Farming Program in Kerala. Now, the government has made another move to make the film tax free. This will make the ticket prices of the film to go down by 15 to 20 percent across the theatres in the state.

"Minister M K Muneer informed me of the decision a few days back. The film being made tax free will bring down the ticket prices, and will encourage the lakhs of women involved in the Kudumbashree project to watch it in theatres. The government also wishes that people from the lower strata of society should watch the film and be inspired by the concept of organic farming. It is indeed an honour, the Kerala government has always encouraged good films which bring about a change in society and I am glad my film is one of them. However, during its making we had no idea it would make such an impact, and our only aim was to make a good film. The new move only increases its value," said the director of the film Rosshan Andrrews to Times of India.
Kerala government had earlier declared the Malayalam film "Spirit" starring Mohanlal as tax free for its strong message against alcoholism and smoking.
Manju recently made a sensational comeback to the Malayalam film industry through "How Old Are You?" In the film, she plays the character of Nirupama, who becomes famous for the organic vegetable garden that she cultivated on her terrace.
Eventually, she motivates others in her locality to do the same. Interestingly, the government has imbibed the same plan of starting organic farming systems on the terrace of houses like in the film.
Manju garnered appreciation for her role in the film, which revolves around a middle aged woman who faces a personal crisis. She works as a clerk in the government office and devotes her whole life to look after her husband and her child. However, she realizes that she has no importance in their life, when her husband Rajeev (played by Kunchacko Boban) leaves her behind and takes their teenage daughter Lachu (played by Amritha Anil) with him to pursue his dreams in Ireland.
Once she is summoned to the IG's office and learns that The President of India wants to meet her. Unfortunately, the meeting turns to be a disaster and she becomes the butt of all jokes. That is when her friend reminds her about the confident girl she was in her younger days. Bored with life without her husband and daughter, she craves for a change. Nirupama, then makes up her mind to turn her life around.
