Looks like Manju Warrier's popularity among film-makers across South India is growing high. Reports are coming in that Manju Warrier will soon spread her wings to rest of the industries in South India.
Latest rumour is that the actress will soon enter Tamil industry with a movie along with popular actor Suriya. Reports are that the upcoming movie will be helmed by "Kaththi" director AR Murugadoss and the shooting of the movie will begin by August.
However, it is not clear whether these reports are just rumours as no one associated with Manju Warrier or Suriya has given out any word on this.
Suriya had recently grabbed the remake rights of Manju Warrier's much acclaimed Malayalam film "How Old Are You". The shooting of the Tamil remake of the movie directed by Rosshan Andrrews, who was also the director of the original version, was recently wrapped up. This movie stars Suriya's wife Jyothika in the lead role.
Coincidently, "How Old are You" Malayalam version had marked the return of Manju Warrier into silver screen after a sabbatical of 14 years and with the Tamil version Jyothika's marks her return to limelight after a gap of seven years.
Meanhwile, Manju Warrier is currently busy with her projects in Malayalam. The actress is awaiting for the release of Sathyan Anthikad directorial opposite Mohanlal. The actress has also signed a project titled as "Rani Padmini" with director Ashiq Abu, which will also star Ashiq's wife and actress Rima Kallingal.
"Rani Padmini" is touted as a women-centric film, which revolves around the life of two women who are on a long journey to Himachal Pradesh from Kochi through Delhi. Though they are travelling to the same place, their intention and purpose for the journey is different. The makers say that the film can be included in the genres of a thriller and travelogue.
Besides these projects, reports are also that Manju will appear in a Joshiy movie. Now, with the news of Manju's Tamil film it's sure the actress is set to celebrate her second innings in the world of cinema.
