Actress Manju Warrier will play the titular role in "Jo and the Boy" directed by film-maker Rojin Thomas. Master Sanoop, who is the sister of actress Sanoosha, will play a key role in the film.
The film is being shot in Kodaikanal and Ladakh. The cast also includes Lalu Alex and Pearle Maaney.
Director Rojin is known for his earlier film "Philip and the Monkey Pen", which starred Master Sanoop along with Jayasurya and Ramya Nambeeshan.
Manju Warrier had made a comeback with Roshan Andrrews "How Old Are You?" in 2014, followed by Sathyan Athikkad's "Ennum Eppozhum" opposite Mohanlal earlier this year.
She will be next seen in Aashiq Abu's "Rani Padmini" along with Rima Kallingal.
The actress will also team up with Kunchacko Boban and Jayasurya in director Rajesh Pillai's next film.
