Slamming the rumours regarding Manju Warrier's upcoming Tamil film with superstar Suriya, the actor's production house 2D Entertainment has confirmed that the "How Old Are You" actress will not be a part of the film.
Earlier, rumours were doing the rounds that Manju will star opposite Suriya in an upcoming Tamil film, which will be helmed by "Ith Namma Aalu" director Pandiraj. Some reports even suggested the name of "Kaththi" director AR Murugodass.
Now, Suriya's production company has confirmed that instead of Manju, another Malayali actress Amala Paul will be paired opposite the "Singam" star in the upcoming film, which will be produced by 2D Entertainment.
"Even though Manju Warrier is not part of the Suriya film, south Indian heroine Amala Paul will be paired opposite the actor," according to ManoramaOnline
Earlier, the production company had bagged the all-India remake rights of Rosshan Andrrews' blockbuster Malayalam film, which marked the comeback of Manju after 14 years.
Suriya's wife and actress Jyothika, has wrapped up the shooting of her comeback film, which is the Tamil version of "How Old Are You". The film is one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
Reports also suggest that she will reprise Manju's role in the Telugu version of the film.
Meanwhile, Suriya will join Pandiraj's project after completing his shooting with Venkat Prabhu's supernatural thriller "Masss". Amala will be seen next in Mohanlal starrer "Lailaa O Lailaa" and Telugu film "Janda Pai Kapiraju".
Manju is awaiting the release of Sathyan Anthikad's film with Mohanlal. She has also signed Ashiq Abu's "Rani Padmini", which also has Rima Kallingal in the lead role.
