Manju Warrier, the lady Superstar of Mollywood, recently met with an accident while shooting an action scene for the movie 'Jack and Jill'. The unfortunate incident happened on December 5 while the shooting crew was apparently filming a high-voltage action scene in Harippad.
As per close sources to the movie, the actress suffered injuries on her forehead which are actually minor in nature. Soon after the accident, Manju Warrier was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was given first aid. Doctors also stitched the wound on her forehead, and they later clarified that the health status of the Superstar is stable.
The unexpected incident in the sets of 'Jack and Jill' happened just a day before the film's pack up. The makers of the movie were apparently aiming to complete the shooting of the movie on December 7, but due to the unexpected event, the shooting may get extended for another couple of days more.
'Jack and Jill' is directed by acclaimed cinematographer Santhosh Sivan. The film marks the comeback of Santhosh Sivan in Mollywood after the critically acclaimed flick 'Urumi' which was released in 2011.
Apart from Manju Warrier, 'Jack and Jill' also stars Kalidas Jayaram and Soubin Shahir in other prominent roles.
Manju Warrier is currently awaiting the release of her new movie 'Odiyan' which will grace the big screens on December 14. Touted to be the most anticipated movie of the year, 'Odiyan' stars none other than Superstar Mohanlal in the lead role. The film is directed by Shrikumar Menon and is bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor in the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
Interestingly, Manju Warrier is also playing the role of female lead in another Mohanlal movie titled 'Lucifer'. It should be noted that this movie also marks the directorial debut of young Superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran.
