With Aashiq Abu directorial "Rani Padmini" set to release on 23 October, the lead actresses of the Malayalam film are busy with TV and online promotions.
In the promo video of 22 October episode of Flowers TV show Comedy Super Nite, "Rani Padmini" actresses Manju Warrier and Rima Kallingal are seen promoting their upcoming travelogue movie.
Interestingly, Manju Warrier will be seen imitating superstar Mohanlal in a popular scene from "Aram Thampuran" (1997), in which the duo played lead roles. They have also paired up in Malayalam movies like "Kanmadam" (1998), "Summer in Bethlehem" (1998) and "Ennum Eppozhum" (2015).
The complete episode of "Comedy Super Nite" will be aired on Flowers TV at 9:30pm on Thursday, 22 October.
"Rani Padmini", which does not have a hero as such, revolves around two women - Rani (Manju) and Padmini (Rima) - who are on a journey from Kochi to Himachal Pradesh. Though the duo are travelling to the same destination, they both have different purposes.
The script of the Aashiq Abu directorial is written jointly by Shyam Pushkaran and Ravi Shankar. The cinematography of the movie is handled by Madhu Neelakandan, while editing was by Saiju Sreedharan.
The film, which is produced by PM Harris and VS Muhammed Althaf under the banner of Fort Entertainment, is slated for release on 23 October.
