Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna were spotted bonding big time at Mohan Babu's son, actor Manchu Manoj's pre-wedding party held in the third week of May.
Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna are considered as archrivals in the fields of both film and politics. Though they have not admitted it publicly, they are known for their war of words. They were seen indirectly taking digs at each other on public platforms on several occasions and so are their fans. They were not seen together in recent times, especially after the last assembly polls and Lok Sabha elections.
But Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna recently seemed to have kept aside their enmity. They left everyone surprised when they spent some quality time together at Pellikoduku, the ritual to put the turmeric on the groom as a good omen, held at Mohan Babu's residence in Shamshabad on 13 May. They were seen laughing as they chatted with the members of Manchu family. They also posed together for the photographers.
This bonding of Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna was a great moment for some people from the film industry, who were present at the Pellikoduku ceremony of Manchu Manoj. They could not stop themselves from capturing some of their rare moments and post the photos on Twitter, Facebook and other social networking sites. The elated Nandamuri and Mega family fans fast circulated those pictures.
Pellikoduku is a traditional ceremony meant to get the groom ready for marriage. The function, which was held as per the family tradition, was a private affair and some select members from the industry and journalists were present on the occasion.
Manchu Manoj will tie the nuptial knot with his girlfriend Pranitha Reddy on May 20. Since it is going to be the last marriage in the family, the Manchu family is leaving no stone unturned to make it the biggest Tollywood family event of 2015. Besides making lavish arrangements, the family has invited leading stars from Hindi and south film industry and politicians.
