Manchester United have raised a few eyebrows already with their summer transfer business, and those eyebrows looks like it will remain raised after reports of a possible move for Radamel Falcao came to the fore.
A striker did not look like being the most important position to fill for Louis Van Gaal, with defensive issues and midfield problems aplenty causing Manchester United plenty of heartache in the beginning of the season.
However, according to reports coming out of Colombia, United have apparently sealed the signing of Falcao from Monaco for a €65 million fee, with the striker also agreeing on a four-year deal.
DirectTV reporter Saris Bello broke the news on her Twitter account, saying: "Falcao came to an agreement with Manchester United. It will be official in the next hours, he will be travelling in the morning.
ManUnited bought Falcao for €65m, he will be playing for 4 seasons and will be the player best paid in the Premier League."

Having already spent well over £100 million on transfers this summer, which includes the British record £60 million move for Angel Di Maria, it does look unlikely that Manchester United, despite having plenty of money spend, will pay all that amount to bring in a striker.
Van Gaal already has Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney as his first-choice strikers, even if the Dutchman has been struggling with injuries of late. Javier Hernandez, though, is reportedly on his way to Real Madrid, while Danny Welbeck's future is still unresolved.
Bringing in Falcao will certainly make Rooney and Van Persie uneasy, with neither willing to warm the bench, unless of course Van Persie is set for a spell on the sidelines with recent reports suggesting the Dutchman might have to undergo surgery.
Falcao's move to Manchester United was further confirmed by another journalist from the striker's home country.

Which basically means: "Because the City could not balance the Financial Fair play, Falcao travels tomorrow to sign with United that would buy at €65 million. He will not play Champions League, but is with one of the best teams in the world and they have a great team along with a Top manager in LVG.
"If the City can sell Negredo in the next few hours they might get in the business, but it will be difficult because everything has already been advanced at MU."
With Arsenal and Manchester City heavily linked with a move for Falcao, it will certainly be one of the more surprise transfers of the summer were United to complete the signing, especially if Van Gaal does not address his problems in midfield, even if Daley Blind can play as a defensive midfielder.
According to the Guardian, Falcao has been offered to Arsenal and Manchester City, with no mention of United. Guardian is one of the more reliable sources for transfer news, and it remains to be seen if there is any substance in the latest rumours.
