Manchester United and Manchester City have reportedly entered the race to sign defender Terence Kongolo from Dutch side Feyenoord in January.
The 20-year-old versatile defender, who is capable of playing as a centre-back as well as left-back, managed to attract attention following his impressive performances at Feyenoord, where he made his first team debut in 2012.
Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal knows Kongolo well as he was called up to the Netherlands squad for the 2014 World Cup.
Due to van Gaal knowing Kongolo, the Red Devils are confident that the youngster will choose United over their noisy neighbours, according to the Daily Star.
However, Manchester City also have a card up their sleeve as Kongolo's younger brother Rodney is currently at Manchester City's academy, having quit Feyenoord last summer.
And the Citizens hope that Kongolo will be persuaded to come to the Blue side of Manchester to be in the same club as his 16-year-old brother.
Meanwhile, former Manchester United boss David Moyes feels that Marouane Fellaini has finally adapted and is establishing himself as one of the key players at Old Trafford.
Moyes was thoroughly criticised for spending £27.5 million on the transfer of Fellaini last summer as the Belgian failed to impress during his first season at Old Trafford.
Many had expected new boss van Gaal to sell Fellaini this summer, but instead he has been giving regular starts to the Belgian, who seems to be looking like the player he was at Everton.
And Moyes, who was the one to bring Fellaini to Everton from Standard Liège in 2008, claims that he always knew that the Belgian had a lot of potential and just needed time to adapt at Old Trafford.
"I remember people telling me it took Patrice Evra and Nemanja Vidic a while. Players who became great players for United," Moyes told the Daily Mail. "Marouane should have been given time too, because he's now proving what I always believed; that he can be an important player for United."
"I've watched him in the last two games and he has been first class. He's had an influence on the games, which is what you look to your bigger players to do. And I think he's played an important part in helping United gain some momentum going into today's Manchester derby."
The former Everton boss, who is being tipped to take over the reins at La Liga side Real Sociedad, feels that Fellaini's form has improved following the arrival of Daley Blind to United this summer.
"He can perform several jobs in a team but I think it helps him to have someone like Daley Blind sitting there in that more defensive midfield role," he added.
"At Standard Liege he had Defour or Witsel sitting deeper and allowing him to get further forward, and at Everton he had players like Phil Neville.
"At United last season we lacked that kind of midfielder, and while Marouane has the physical ability to cover the ground he's definitely more effective in a game if he's accompanied by a defensive midfield player."
