Brazilian fullback Rafael Da Silva's career at Manchester United looks over now as the defender is set to make a move to French giants Lyon, and the signing also looks imminent.
According to French sports daily L'Equipe, Lyon will pay United a fee of between €2.5m and €3m [£2.1m] for the 25-year-old.
And the defender is also set to pocket around €2.5m gross per year at the Stade Gerland.
The length of the contract is believed to be four years, and the player has already been reported to have arrived in France on Sunday to undergo his medical.
The confirmation of his imminent move to Lyon may also have been revealed by the player, from his social media activities.
The reply from the player may confirm what is about to come, but Rafael's future was more or less decided after the player was omitted from United's preseason tour to the US this summer.
Rafael looked promising under Sir Alex Ferguson at United but he soon moved to oblivion. While he failed to impress ex-manager David Moyes, a resurgence under Louis van Gaal last season was also not visible.
He made his debut in the 2008-09 season for the Red Devils, and went on to clock up 170 appearances for the Old Trafford outfit, that included three Premier League titles.
Rafael has just a year in his contract remaining at United.
His twin brother Fabio, who also played at United, had signed for Cardiff City in January last year.
