Actor-singer Mamta Mohandas, having lent her voice to some hit songs, has sung for another upcoming Malayalam movie.
Mamta has crooned for Jayaram's upcoming horror movie "Aadupuliyattam" with singer Ratheesh Vega. The actress shared a photo of the them from the studio and wrote on her Facebook page: "Recorded an interesting 'amman' song for Jayaram ettan's 'Aadupuliyaattom' with Ratheesh Vega (sic)".
Meanwhile, Ratheesh also shared his excitement on singing with Mamta for the second time after the song "Kan Thurannoru Kalyani" for the movie "Mullassery Madhavan Kutty Nemom P. O." in 2012. "hai all.. It's been a great time today. Had an excited recording session with Mamta Mohandas for the film ADUPULIYATTAM. You are fabulous Mamta. Thank you very much Kannan Chettan, the director and the whole team for the oppurtunity. Guys, wait for the song to hit u (sic)," Ratheesh posted on Facebook.
Meanwhile, Mamta, a cancer survivor, recently worked with Ratheesh for a campaign named Kerala Can to fight the disease. The actress had earlier sung the hit songs "Daddy Mummy" and "Iravil Viriyum", among many others.
Helmed by Kannan Thamarakkulam, "Aadupuliyattam" has an ensemble cast, including Om Puri, Ramya Krishnan, Sheelu Abraham, Sudheer Karamana, Saju Navodaya, SP Sreekumar and Ramesh Pisharody. While Ramya will be seen in the role of Mathangi, the daughter of a tribal king, Om Puri will play a modern-day ascetic.
The story and screenplay of the comedy horror drama is written by Dinesh Pallath and Pradeep Nair handles the cinematography. The movie is produced under the banner of Grande Films Corporation by Haseeb Haneef and is distributed by Anto Joseph FIlms Company.
